These terms apply to your use of logbookpartners.com and to any conversations, emails or introductions you have with Logbook Partners, operated by Opal Tech Ventures LLC. By using the site or our services, you agree to them.

What we do

Logbook Partners is an independent referral and advisory business. We help business owners understand whether their company's operating records may interest companies that license data for AI development ("buyers"), and, with the owner's consent, introduce them to a buyer.

We are not a buyer, a broker that holds or resells data, a law firm, an accounting firm, or a financial advisor. Any license is negotiated and signed directly between your company and the buyer.

How we're paid

Buyers pay us a referral fee when a company we introduced completes a deal with them. You do not pay us anything. We will tell you which buyer we propose to introduce you to before making any introduction.

No data handling

We do not request, receive, store or transfer your company's data, files, credentials or system access. Please do not send them to us. If any are sent to us by mistake, we will delete them.

Information only, no guarantees

Figures on this site, such as reported deal values, are statements published by third parties. We have not verified them and they are not a promise of what your company will be offered. Whether a buyer makes an offer, and on what terms, is entirely up to the buyer. Market conditions in this field change quickly.

Nothing on this site or in our communications is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. Review any agreement with your own advisors, including whether your records are subject to client contracts, confidentiality obligations or privacy laws.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate information, to tell us if your company has already applied to or been introduced to a buyer, and to share with buyers only records your company has the right to license.

Third-party buyers and websites

Buyers are independent companies. We are not responsible for their decisions, offers, agreements, payments, data handling or privacy practices. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we don't control their content.

Site content

The text, design and branding on this site belong to Opal Tech Ventures LLC. You may share links to it and print pages for personal or internal business use.

Limitation of liability

The site and our services are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logbook Partners is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from a buyer's actions or from an agreement between you and a buyer. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or our services is limited to $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located there.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
