Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Logbook Partners, operated by Opal Tech Ventures LLC ("Logbook Partners," "we," "us"), collects through logbookpartners.com and our emails and calls, and what we do with it.

The short version: we collect the contact and company details you choose to give us, so we can tell you whether your company's records may interest a buyer and introduce you if you agree. We never ask for, collect, store or transfer your company's data, files or system access.

What we collect

Information you give us. Your name, job title, company name, website, email, phone, and your answers to our questions (such as headcount, team location, years of records kept, the software tools your company uses, and who can approve a license).
Business contact information. If we contacted you first, we got your work email and company details from public sources such as your company website, business directories and professional networks.
Basic website data. Pages visited, browser and device type, approximate location from IP address, and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar tools.
Calls and emails. The content of messages you send us and notes from our calls.

We do not want, and ask you not to send us, your company's emails, files, customer records, passwords or logins.

How we use it

To assess whether your company may be a fit for a data-licensing buyer
To reply to you, schedule calls and follow up
To introduce you to a buyer, only with your consent
To track our referrals and receive referral fees
To improve the website and our outreach
To meet legal obligations and protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information.

Buyers you agree to be introduced to. When you say yes, we share your contact details and the answers you gave us with that buyer. From then on, the buyer's own privacy policy and agreements apply to what you share with them.
Service providers that run our business, only to perform those services: HubSpot (CRM and forms), Cal.com (scheduling), Microsoft 365 (email), Hostinger (website hosting) and our website analytics provider.
Legal and safety reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights.
A successor business, if Logbook Partners is merged or sold, under this same policy.

Email outreach and opting out

We may email business owners and managers about this opportunity. Every email lets you opt out. Reply "stop" or "unsubscribe," or write to info@logbookpartners.com, and we'll remove you from further outreach.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar tools to keep the site working and to understand traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while we're discussing a possible introduction and for up to 3 years afterward to track referrals and resolve any questions about them. You can ask us to delete it sooner, unless we need it for an active referral or a legal obligation.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, such as access controls and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, which is one reason we never handle your company's data itself.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. Email info@logbookpartners.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

Children

This site is for business owners and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
